Ratha Saptami is celebrated on February 10 2011 (Thursday). Ratha Sapthami is celebrated on the seventh day in the Shukla Paksha of the Maagha month. On this day special pujas are held for Surya Deva. Ratha Saptami also marks the birth of Surya to sage Kashyapa and his wife Aditi and hence celebrated as Surya Jayanti.

In Tirumala Tirupathi Lord Venkateshwara will bless the devotees in Suriya Vahana at early morning. A one-day Brahmotsavam is held in Tirumala. In SriRangam it is an important festival.
The Lord Venkateswara with His consorts will be taken out in procession around four mada streets on the same day. The schedule
