The earthquake was also felt in national capital New Delhi, Chandigarh,Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. The temblor also shook Pakistan's Islamabad, Lahore.

An earthquake hit north Indian cities like Delhi, Shimla around midnight on Friday, Sep 17. Right now, there are no reports of damage or casualty. It was an earthquake of around 6.5 magnitude which also struck Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan. It hit the Hindu Kush region at around 00:51 IST, the IMD’s Seismology Department said. Many people felt these tremors in North India Specially in Indian states like Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Chandigarh. However, people are really worried and they want more official updates on this earthquake.
