Universal Music India is going to release an official album based on the ICC World Cup 2011 which is till now titled ‘De Ghumake’ as the cricket fever is getting very high in the sub-continent. The songs of this album are expected to be very catchy and the names which are related to this album are very popular in the music world both in the world and the sub-continent.
The title of the album is followed by the official song of the world cup which is created by the highly popular music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.The actual surprise of this album is not given yet. The international names related to the album are Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Enrique Iglesias whose names indicates that the album will be a must hit. The album also features work from the recent craze A R Rahman added with some more Bollywood hits.
Haroon Lorgat, the ICC Chief Executive said, “Music really helps to create a buzz around an event and I am delighted we have such an energetic and diverse selection of great songs that will surely become the soundtrack of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.” The officials from both ICC and Universal Music India are very hopeful about the success of this album and they are expecting that the songs are going to be perfect for the celebration of such a big tournament. The official song is in three different languages of the three host countries, Hindi, Bangla and Sinhalese sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Raghab Chatterjee and Ranidu Lankage respectively.
The album is going to be released on February 10 and it will be available in the stores all across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. You will also be able to download the album from this site. It’s a big gift for the cricket lovers as well as the music lovers.
