Superstar Rajinikanth has lent his support to Anna Hazare and his movement India Against Corruption (IAC)!
He is the first Kollywood celebrity and top star to fully endorse the non- violent movement for Jan Lokpal Bill.
Meanwhile, at Kollywood’s one-day fast in support of Anna Hazare being held at Film Chamber today (Aug 23) Cheran, Parthipen, AR Murgadoss, L Suresh, Pyramid Natarajan, Sreenivasan, Rohini and others took part.
Later Suriya came and supported those who were on a one-day fast.
Rajinikanth has issued a statement which was released by IAC Chennai.
Rajinikanth wrote – “There can be no doubt that corruption is a dreaded disease that why it needs to be weeded from the Indian society. I’m very happy that we have a very able and dedicated leader in Anna Hazare to lead us in this fight against corruption.”
The superstar in his letter also said that he “I whole-heartedly support the India against Corruption Movement in their campaign to get Jan Lokpal bill legislated in parliament”.
IAC in a statement has said – “ We welcome the support the Mr. Rajinikanth. This support should go a long way in creating awareness among the public on Anna Hazare, Jan Lokpal bill and India Against Corruption.”
